Double Kettlebell Training - the joys, the joys!
I like heavy kettlebell training. Actually I love heavy kettlebell training.
Unlike most of my training I have to specifically plan and programme it into my schedule as its quite draining but totally fantastic for strength, power and packing on a bit of muscle.
The benefits of doubling up are immense
Double weight, more than double the intensity. Single kettlebell training allows for slightly different body mechanics that can make exercises easier to perform. For example you can kick the hip under the kettlebell during a single bell shoulder press. Two bells make this impossible. Your upper body strength and core stability will be tested
Double weight, greater effects on muscle growth. Common sense really! The more force you have to use to lift a weight, the greater the benefits on size and strength. Its hard to measure - its not like double the weight, double the results but heavy training triggers all sorts of responses and reactions that will accelerate your results.
Anyway, I'll be blogging more on my experiments with double kettlebells over the next few months of this programme
